SPECIFICATION

VOYAGER is a flexible, modular system that can be completely customised to your individual requirements. We offer three sensor head sizes to cover all your baking needs.

25mm

This is our most popular sensor head, designed primarily for the biscuit industry. This low profile option is particularly beneficial where there are height limitations.

40mm

This is our mid-range unit which comes with a 40mm thermal barrier. It can cope with more intense baking conditions, while still remaining slimline.  

60mm

This sensor head, partnered with a 60mm thermal barrier, caters for processes with longer bakes times, including bread and cakes.

VOYAGER B

This is our most popular configuration and uses black and silver sensors. This allows the heat to be differentiated into its constituent parts. The black gives the total heat flux, while the silver gives the contribution from convection.

VOYAGER A

This simpler format employs only black sensors and measures total heat flux.

SOFTWARE

The software has been designed with the end user very much in mind.  Its intuitive and user-friendly interface opens the door to a powerful and informative analytical package.  The software not only displays the data in both graphical and analytical form, but also helps with analysis and interpretation of the data. The data can also be exported into other formats for further user-driven analysis.

MODULES, COMPONENTS & ACCESSORIES

FRAMEWORKS & BRACKETS

There are a number of frameworks and brackets for use with the various components. Thistle provide some recommended configurations but the fully flexible nature of the system allows the user to choose their own. Options include:

  • Standard framework – for use with 25mm and 40mm sensor heads.

  • Sleigh framework – for use with 60mm sensor heads.

  • Fixed framework – for reduced maintenance.

  • Single Bracket – basic system.

  • Bun & Pan brackets – to allow the equipment to be fitted into bread straps or onto bun pans.

TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT

In addition to Heat Flux, Thistle also offers temperature measurement via its PEEK band probe and temperature bar options.  These modules can be fitted alongside the regular sensor heads. The temperature bar design allows it to span a significant width of the oven band, allowing for cross band checks. With our band probe the use of PEEK and having only the tip of the probe making contact the impact on the band temperature measurement is minimised.
